Amita has been with the firm, Purnanand & Co., since the year, 1988. She represents many high profile clients in civil litigation including in the areas of real estate, commercial disputes, tax and intellectual property. She also specializes in dispute resolution.

Amita also advises clients on transfer of property matters (by way of sale/purchase, mortgage, lease, exchange and gift) and structuring, drafting and negotiating land development documentation including, inter alia, on the entire gamut of laws, regulations and policies.

Amita regularly represents clients before various Courts and Tribunals including the Supreme Court of India, Bombay High Court and District Courts, National Company Law Tribunal, and Arbitral Tribunals.

Amita has a degree in commerce from the H. R. College of Commerce and Economics, University of Mumbai and graduated in the year, 1985. She is a practicing Advocate. She pursued LL.B. from the Government Law College, Mumbai and graduated in the year 1988. She is enrolled with the Bar Council of Maharashtra & Goa.
